The Barcelona muralStraszewskiego/Piłsudskiego Street
A work combining poetry, photography, and sound. Carried out as part of the Fresh Zone competition of the Grolsch ArtBoom Festival. In the times of the Polish People’s Republic, the Barcelona bar (or Bar Celona) was a place where Krakow’s students and artists met – “a bastion of intellectual thought”, as Adam Ziemianin put it. The artist Bartolomeo Koczenasz placed a large-format photography of the no-longer-existing bar and Ziemianin’s poem Barcelona on the buildings adjacent to the place where the bar used to be.
