Gołębia Street

The street, a quiet nook in the city centre, is home to the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University, where many renowned writers, professors and literary critics have studied and lectured. A depository for poems, the Rynna Poetycka [Poetic Drainpipe] once stood in the vicinity of Gołębnik – the famous tea-room loved by many Polish philologists.
