WAWELSKI DRAGONLegendary dragon, who lived at the foot of the Wawel hill in Krakow. According to the legend given by Wincenty Kadłubek in the "Polish Chronicle", the voracious Wawel Dragon oppressed the people of Krak, kidnapping subsequent victims. It was only the brave and ingenious shoemaker Dratewka who came up with a solution to the problem - he left a ram stuffed with sulfur for the dragon to eat. When the dragon ate it, he was so thirsty that he drank half of the Vistula River and exploded!
